The absolute necessities are as follows:

  • More than 45 litres of beer, wine, or another alcoholic beverage cannot be sent.
  • To carry alcohol into a province, you must be of legal drinking age.
  • The provincial liquor board must approve for customs clearance to occur.

Alcohol must be shipped inside Canada using a Solutions for Small Business (SfSB) card, only available to Parcel Services contract clients.

Alcohol can now be brought back for personal use by travellers from Ontario who stop in another province or territory.

While moving alcoholic beverages, traffic laws must be observed. Liquor should be kept in a bottle or other container that is completely sealed. Keep all alcohol in the trunk and away from the driver.
